Internet_R! a.k.a. Louis Ferrari ([email protected]) posted a sale of damaged R1 body work in the following thread:
http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67804
He and I went back and forth a couple of times on e-mail about the price, payment and shipping terms until we reached an agreement. As per our agreement I mailed him a cashier's check by priority mail within 2 hours of our agreement.

The body work never arrived. I contacted Louis several times by e-mail. He had a series of laim excuses (my favorite was that USPS held the package at their office because he forgot to give them his phone #. Huh? WTF?) Excuses were followed by promises that the stuff would be delivered to my house, which never happened.

It's been almost 2 months now since I sent him the money. I have asked Louis repeatedly to do the decent thing and refund my money and have not heard back from him. Big surprise there.

I'm out of $170 with nothing to show for it. Not cool.

I must post on my behalf.

They parts were shipped and That's all there is to it. You want proof? I will fax you a receipt of when i shipped it. Fair enough. I will not have my reputation damaged becuase of false remarks. I will even refund your money if I have to. I am not worried about the money, I am worried about this situation. I wasn't aware of how severe it actually was. I will make this better, If it means you have the parts and your money. To me it just isn't worth this.

Please provide me a fax number and I will send it to you.

Thanks

Why in the world would you use USPS!!! Use UPS next time!!!!!At least they have trackign number..
Vadim,

Please contact me, I am still waiting...

I have had good luck with usps until now. They seemed to be a cheap carrier with good results. I guess in the end you get what you pay for.

I had a problem with USPS too. I sent out some parts for VPREATR priority mail which should have taken 2-3 days and it took 8 days for it to get there. I forgot to get a confirmation number and i just didnt want VPREATR to feel like i got his $$ and didnt ship anything out. The day I was gonna send some more parts out to him he finally got it. What a relief!!!!

Just received an email from Internet_R! who wants to work things out. Looks like he sent that e-mail 3/20, but I didn't receive it until now. Could be e-mail delivery delays. Don't know.

Anyway I'm all for working things out with him. We'll do so off line and will update this thread with resolution. Hopefully we'll be able to reach some agreement.

Here is the page for shipping instruction to Traxxion Dynamics, one of the leading suspension places... read the bottom paragraph

:lol Good one, Maxxym.
"NEVER, EVER USE THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE. We have NEVER received a package from the postal service that wasn't smashed, busted open, or completely demolished!!! Their regulations for insured packages require that you wait 30 days before you can even file a claim for damages. I guarantee it will cost you more, and your parts will be damaged!!! If you choose to ignore this warning and ship USPS, DO NOT send the package "Signature Required". If we have to send someone to the Post Office to stand in line for your package, WE WILL CHARGE YOU $75 FOR OUR TIME!!! "

Well, did you take care of the problem. YAR1 says you wont respond to emails and so forth. We want to know if you have fixed the problem. If not are you going to make things right or not? This thread will remain a sticky until things are resolved.

Hope everything works out and BTW FED EX is the best and cheapest way to ship anything!

One, if the drivers loose or damage a package the have to pay for it out of their pocket!

Two, They are amost always cheaper than UPS.
