I need some help with a decision. All of you who have gone from the undertail exhuast on your 04+ R1's to a GP style exhaust, have you noticed a significant difference or improvement on the sweaty legs situation? I would do a search but Im in Iraq and my web connection is pretty damn slow. It would take me for ever to read through all the threads. The reason Im asking is because Im thinking about buying a GP stayle exhaust for my 05 so it is there when I get home, but if the heat situation is not gonna be much different then I'll spend my money on other mods. Personally, I love the way my termi undertail system looks.

Dont do it man, one of the ugliest modifications to make to our bike. The undertail is what gives the 04-08 R1 the great looks...... Keep the Termi pipes, they are one of the best systems u can get!

+1 on not doing the mod. would be a different story if you had an 02-03 model. Gut the cat and have it ceramic coated and the heat problem will be gone. Best of luck in Iraq and hope you come home soon.

I hope i answered your question in your other thread. Go for the other mods if you really enjoy your bike. You won't like the Boz after a while. Get the pipes coated and wraped. Be safe and thank you for doing a good job over there. George.
