I took my front wheel off my r6. What kind of grease do I need to put on the rod I pulled out? What is the name of that piece? I am refering to the 19mm allen bolt that holds the wheel on.

I have polished the lip of the front and started removing the paint on the back. Having the inside spokes and center stripe painted Yamaha blue. Will post pics when I am done.:D

All you need to do is put a very small amount of bearing grease on the axle(the part you were refering to) For sure put pics up when you are done:cool:

axle ....damn I must have had a brain freeze....:bash

N E ways.....next question, are there other tools, for general maintenace, i need to start looking for that are hard to find? That 19mm allen was hell to find. Sears only had a 17mm. Finaly found a family hardware store that had it. Paid $20 buck for it...cheaper than a factory tool.

The only other special too you might need is a spanner wrench for the steering head bearing nut. You can get it from Yamaha
