Thanks for all of the pics Ron. I saw the sale at EMA and it got me wondering. I really like the looks of the HM, but I had a Micron HM a while ago and my heel kept hitting/resting on the pipe. I'm not sure there's enough room or clearance for my foot with the HM.

I really like the lines and angle of the OEM end can, but it seems many of the aftermarket ones hang slightly 'lower' than the OEM can. That's why I want to see the Harris 'standard' mount.

Any idea how loud that Moto GP slip on will be?

Harris stuff seems to be top notch kit from what I've been able to tell. Any thoughts?

I had a Harris H/M on my gixxer. It was the only 600 that sounded like a liter bike. the quality of the exhaust is absolutely top shelf, I would even rank it above akro. The sound is crisp and clean, not too loud, but It'll roar when you twist it. If Harris made a full system i would deff. get one for my 01.:rock

Looks great! Did the high mount connector pipe interfere with your foot/heel placement while riding? Like I said, I'm a little leary of getting another high mount after having the Micron. (I'mnot comparing Micron to Harris as far as quality in any way here-just how they fit on the bike.)

If your heel/foot did rest on the pipe, did it melt the heel of your boots or did the connector pipe not get hot enough to do so?

So you definitely recommend Harris as far as a quality piece of kit then?

Thanks,
S.

replied to your PM... more heel room then a micron. I would occasionally hit the tab for the spring but never the pipe. I ride on the balls of my feet/toes and never hit the mid pipe, just the tab. my R1 has a micron Highmount and I know what you mean by no heel room, I melted the heel of my alpinestars boot the first week I owned it:mad:

I would never hesitate to consider Harris parts, my rearsets, frame & clutch sliders are all in excellant shape after several seasons, and the service from EMA is top notch, never had issues with any Harris products or EMA service :thumbup

from what I've heard, the MotoGP SO is 105+ DB, thats from UK forum member Bryan Volk, thats his bike in the pics above :rock

It appears EMA is depleting all existing Harris inventory, don't know if its just end of year (for tax purposes) sales (my guess), call Greg he can fill you in :yesnod
