:hellobye hey i recently purchased a 2k1 R6 with 12,000 miles and in the past weeks i have gotten quite confortable on it, but there is one problem. if i am in first gear and i crank the throttle around 11k rpms i get a little bit of head shake, its not enuff to dump me, but its still a bit disconcerting, its happened twice both under same circumstances, wacking the throttle going in a straight line in 1st gear. the front tire is a bit worn, but looks to be in good shape as well as forks all good condition... help plz!

Get that tire off, Its probably an old tire that was on the bike all winter. It might have lots of tread but its probably cupped to shit.l Also, whacking the throttle in 1st gear is going to make any R6 front end pretty light.

Its a state of a tire where the edge of a given thread groove is more worn than the part next to it...when looking at it from a specific angle, you can see bumps in the tire.

Its bad for stability...it usually happend when improper tire pressure is used for too long and the damage is made "on the brakes".

Dunlop D207-like thread patetrns have this problem.
