Today I noticed some condensation in my headlight housing on the right side. I've had it 6months and this was the 1st time ive seen it do this. The bike is garaged and it was like 75* and dry out today.
This very common? Regardless i want it fixed should i take it to the dealer or will i have to figure it out myself?

Never heard of it in an R1 but had it happen to my R6. Took some rubbing alcohol and sloshed i small amount around inside the headlight. Drained what i could and then let it dry out inside my house. Reinstalled it making sure everything was sealed up and never had another problem. Used this method on several peoples headlights with good success.

You may take a look to make sure it is actually condensation. I thought my left lamp on my bike had the same problem. Turns out it was actually some form of...well somehting on the outside...that nothing I would do could clean it off...which is why I thought it was a fine condensation on the inside of the lamp. Regardless, i decided to take a medium cut polishing compound to a few scratches here and there on the bike and ran it over the lamp too...guess what...came right out. What I thought was water, turned out to be something else, that I couldnt' clean off...had to actually scratch it off. Very strange.

Make sure every plug is sealed properly, take everything apart if it bugs you to much. Chances are water is seeping in thru something that is not tightened. Mine was doing it a couple months back. Took Silicon to do the job right, and no more condensation. Good luck

I had my '03 R1 do the same thing a few years ago at Daytona Bike Week. The weather was warm in the day and cool at night with pretty high humidity. I was riding a lot during the day and at night. I noticed it about an hour after the bike was shut off for the night. It never did do it again.
