Hi People. Has anyone taken to running the shift rod outside of the frame, and if so what have they done about the heel guard? I've just installed a Techtronics shifter, and because I've got rearsets I've had to run the shift rod outside of the frame and loose the heel guard. Any (sensible) suggestions appreciated.

yep,bend the rod and run it through the frame again.
