Help with SPY 5000M alarm wiring...

So I bought this stupid SPY 5000m alarm for my new R1 "new to me" and I hate it. It has a feature where the alarm re-arms itself after being unarmed for 30 seconds...............:bangdesk That means you can't wash it, can't work on it, can't RIDE IT without the alarm going off.

This alarm was meant to be wired with a useless remote engine start and engine kill. I don't care about these features but apparently I have to wire the ignition in order for it not to re-arm after 30 seconds when I want to actually ride it.

So, my question is, how can I wire this POS up without the remote ignition/engine kill. I don't want this chinese junk anywhere near my ignition/engine kill.

So far I have wired:
both yellows to the turn signals
both blacks, one to battery and one to frame. Can they both go to battery?
Red to positive terminal on battery
Brown spliced into wire going to ignition fuse.

Is this all I need to do to get the alarm features without the stupid features?

Thanks- Super frustrated, kyoto_kinniku

I'm not sure about this particular alarm... But, on vehicle alarms the ignition needs to be hooked up. That's how the alarm would actually reset itself after being activated and what not.

My personal advice... Hook up the ignition kill relay... To be honest... Without the ignition kill relay hooked up you could've saved money by hiring a Mexican midget to scream when someone is near the bike... It's essentially the same thing... The only security feature the alarm has without that relay hooked up is the siren.... I dunno about where you live, but out here... When an alarm siren is going off nobody pays any attention.

As for the alarm rearming itself... That's def. a feature that can be turned off. I'd bet if you read into the manual a bit more you'd see where to turn it off...

Again, not familiar with that brand, but the stuff I've worked on before would require you to turn the ignition on (another reason to hook the relay up ;)) and hold down the code program button for a few second and then you're in program mode... Here you can change everything from polarities, to settings, to sensitivity of the shock sensor, etc. Hope this helped out a little bit friend! Let us know if you need anymore help!

Also, if I'm reading the diagram correctly... The only way the engine will die on you is if You lose battery power. So, if you are worried about that "Chinese junk" being near your ignition and what not due to random engine cut off due to failure or what not... I don't see that happening.

There's basically no instructions besides the wiring chart. I've read around online and everyone hates the automatic arming and there's no way to permanently disable it.

From what I've read people have had their engines shut off at high RPMS after wiring up the remote ignition/remote kill that's why I didn't wire it.

As for now it seems like wiring up that brown wire took care of my issues.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Why exactly did you buy (t0 use your words) this Chinese piece of junk then?
