Wanted to wish you all a Merry X-Mas...and thank ya all for the
great advise, comments, insight and laughs...I had a great time on here. I'm still going to visit from time to time.

:)

I decided as a father of 3 and husband of a great wife, it was time to put my family first and not take any extra risks and think about my wants, but rather their needs. My needs as well. I decided to sell the bike.

I need my family. I love them. I'm turning 40 soon and finally decided for me & them, it was time to give more than take. Im a little slow but hey. lol...might get another bike down the road...hard to say.

Did I crash? No
Did I have a close call? No-hehe
Did the bank catch me? HEHEHE no man...

It was a conviction to what was important to me in life. I love to ride and I love my bike, but I love my family more and it took time & money from it and added risk to it. I just thought, you know what? Im the luckiest guy in the world to have such a great fam and I just wanted to do what was right at this time in my life. Invest in them.

I have responsibilities. I signed up for a husband and a dad. I want to invest in my commitment. I know many of you can relate. It was just time to not think about me and my wants any longer.

So as an R1 FIRST BIKE owner ever. NO CRASHES, NO DROPS and over
11k miles on a Liter. Not too bad. They said it was dumb, but I was a great rider. I pulled it off.

So if anyone wants a great bike 03 Limited Edition with tons of extras, local pick up for cash. Let me know. SUPER CLEAN!

:hammer:

I sold my bike when I had kids... Lasted three years and then I had to go by a new one. Just couldn't take not having my release.
Trying hard to keep it mostly on the track now days though so I'm not riding around lunatics.

Good luck with it all! (Nice bike)

Thanks guys....

Nice to see a couple people outa 64 cared...

lol

Have a great Christmas!

I don't blame you one bit. I think what you're doing is alot like leaving the casino early with a few dollars in your pocket. The greatest thing is that you did it , you had fun and you moved on. You'll probably be back but right now you're doing what's right for now. Good luck to ya .

Of course you recognize that you've been infected with forum madness and your treatments are'nt as easy to get rid of as the bike. :fact

As long as everything has gone well for you, why not just make it a track bike and only ride there? Go ahead and throw away the lights, etc.... so you won't even think about going back on the street and just do track days. IMO, that's not an irresponsible solution at all. That, or sell it and pick up some dirt bikes for you and the kids. You all will have fun, reasonably safely, and you still get your riding fix.

Respect to you bro, family is priority and I'm sure I would have done the same.

:fork As they said, you'll be back once the beast is in your blood it stays there and the thirst just grows and grows. Even if it's just a one year break or a longer break your family wll respect you for your decision.

Have a good X-Mas and take care of your family, bikes can be replaced, family can not.
