I have a 98 yzf r1 I recently upgraded from stock light bulbs to hid for some reason I plug my left side head light in and it works fine i go to the right side i repeat the same process and have no headlights. If I unplug one side the opposite side works no problem for some reason can't get both head lights to work as they did with stock bulb

are you using the stock harness ? if so, try switching the wires that plug into the harness around. worked for me on my 02

There is only one way to plug everything in the only thing I can think of is that I am using a ballest om each bulb maybe there is a way to connect the left an right head light yo on ballest

Install a relay harness.

Not enough power to fire both ballasts through the stock wiring...
More details on kit plz... But most likely needed an added harness to pull power directly from the battery... Like most HID kits

Make sure it's motorcycle specific so that the wires are long enough to reach from the battery to the headlights.

Either. Doesn't matter.

I think all Retrofit Source's motorcycle relay harnesses come with a single 5 second delay relay.

I'd run a single due to limited space on a bike.

I did an entire DDM Tuning kit and there harness and relay works for 2 ballasts and you don't want anymore wiring then necessary

No. Just make sure the harness has dual output for 2 ballasts. No dual relay needed.
