TIP 1:

Get a pair of long nose pliars for the fiddly job of getting the fuel lines back on and thos little clips things on...

TIP 2:

Install slightly longer fuel lines etc so you don't have to do the above anymore...

...or even go a notch higher and get one of those nifty fuel line quick-release :)

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but does anybody know what ID fuel line the '02 uses? I'm probably going to pick up a quick-release connector from Dennis Kirk or something like that.

Also...does the '02 have a petcock? I didn't notice one the last time I had the tank up, but I wasn't looking for one, since the instructions said to drain the fuel tank.

Thanks!

Resurrecting this thread once again!!

How the heck do I disconnect the fuel line? It has this square end that has a grey button like thing on it but I can't figure out how the connection comes off. Ant specific directions would be greatly appreciated.

Should add the bike is a 2003

Press the button and wiggle it out!
Thanks Martin,

I just wasn't pushing or pulling hard enough, thought I might break it. Finally just put some grunt into pushing that button and viola".

Now on to the real task, Graves velocity stacks, full exhaust system, AIS removal, USB PCIII install and remapping. I'm learning as I go and fortunately there is a couple of threads that talk about some of these things.
