does anyone know what the advertised top speed of the R1 is????? if so post for what year, and what the mph is.
OK, how fast have you had your R1?(what you saw on your speedo)
list bike year and top speed.
mine is 2001, so far it's been 165mph, and was still pulling strong:thumbup

It really pisses people off here when you tell them they are totally full of shit saying their bike was doin' an indicated 192 mph and still going The speedo's are WAY optomistic, and from what I could make out thru all the cursing and chest pounding, the later models seem to lie more than the earlier models Let it go:lol

I have taken my speedo to 182mph on my 2001 R1.
That is probable in the neighborhood of 165mph true speed.
