And what is safe for the temp? I saw 228 on my temp guage yesterday and was wondering how high it can go before overheating?

Mine is up there too. I think that the highest that I saw mine was 226. Not sure how much hotter it can tolerate before bubbling over.

221 and cooled itself down to 217. Not bad, considering it was at least 90 degrees in the thick of Manhattan traffic and all traffic was at a stand still. My F4i with Water Wetter sees 225 degrees easily. Normal running temp for both is about 178 degrees.

Ive had it around the 240 mark. but if it reaches 280 you have to turn off the engine and let it cool down.

Saw 229...

In 92 degree sunlight yesterday - no big deal, once you're moving she cools right down - usually im at 165-170 or so

Seen it at 230 f, no biggie, soon as U get goin it goes back down under 190 f.
