How long is the factory warranty good for on a 07 R1?

My 07 is having some problems , and I was wondering if the starter or anything would be covered under warranty. Any idea??
Thanks

Was there a recall on the starter? If there was a recall, and your bike hasn't had it changed, you might be able to get it replaced. If there wasn't a recall, I'd suggest that the std Factory Warranty of X months applies as per the initial purchase.

As I'm unaware of any bike that has any more than a 12 month warranty (maybe BMW has a 3 year warranty), and it is now 7+ years old I'd suggest your completely out of luck trying to claim it under any type of warranty.
I'm the second owner of this bike, so I never get any direct mail from Yamaha.

Lol you'd be lucky finding a car made in 07 that was still covered by a factory warranty. Bikes are usually 12-24 months, sorry dude.

Yep. I even got extended coverage for my 09 and even that has run out now.
Some car companies give 5 years or 100,000 miles warranty.

uhhhmmm, a starter falls under wear and tear, no way is warranty gonna cover that 8 years after the bike was released..

The bike only has about 7000 miles.
It's still an 8 year old bike bro, just try ebay, I'll bet no more than $50.
Most bikes have 2 year max warranty. Unlimited miles but that's it. After a year or two you're pretty much on your own. It's just normal maintenance.
