I've had my R-1 3 weeks. I've got 1300 miles and its almost time for a new rear tire too. Anyone researched where you can get the D208 L that comes stock on the bike? I ride almost every day after work for about 2 hours in the twisties, and my tire has about had it. From edge to edge that thing has worn down quick!

I went to the Dunlop website but they only listed the 208 GP. Any help would be nice... THanks

As of tonight 999.5 miles, tomorrow is going to be a good day!

As for the tire, I tried to get the stock 208 for mine and was unable to. So this weekend I am going to put on some GPs.

2100 miles since 1st March. Just fitted Akra Ti slipon and link pipe and it sounds awesome. It is a lot louder than I expected with having the exup valve still in situe.

My rear tyre has about 500 miles left on it. It hasn't squared and I have worn it right to the edges. Thing is, it doesn't even feel like I have been pushing it that much through the bends either :rock .

Damn I only have like 190 or so. Just got a week ago last Monday. The weather hasn't cooperated at all. Was beautiful outside yesterday but only got about 30 miles in. Finished my fender eliminator install but hopefully get a 100+ tomorrow!

Bought mine 3-15-02. Have about 1200 miles on due to crapy weather.
Rear tire is wearing pretty fast being such a soft compound and many twisties!:lol :thumbup

I think I got mine on February 16th, and I have about 2500 miles on it. The tires are actually holding up surprisingly well, although I don't find their grip to super-confidence inspiring. I'm getting near the wear bars, but figure I have another 1000 left. I'm seriosly thinking about going for a set of the Rennesports, since they seem to get universally better reviews than the 207RRs, offer better wear, better grip, and wiegh less. If I didn't live somewhere where I could count on the roads being dry all the time, I would probably go with the RRs, but running a 4% tread tires seems like the next best thing to slick for the street.....

The more I ride it, the more I love this bike!
