I tried going back to the insurance provider for my f4i, and they quoted me 300 dollars a month just for liability and comprehension, no collision. Their reasoning was that since it was a liter bike, it involved more risks. I thought it was bs, so I looked around, Geico was $200 for liablity and comprehension, State Farm was around the same. Then I came across AAA. They said if I also insure my truck with them, I only had to pay $150 a month...That's including Full coverage (Liability, comprehension and Collision) for both my truck and my bike. Is it too good to be true?

My State farm agent wouldn't cover my R1 after upscaling from a YZF600R, so I shopped around and the best I found for full coverage was $900/yr with Progressive, thats with one nearly totaled crash & a few tickets, and I'm 56 :crash

my lease car (06 Fusion) & condo insurance are still thru State farm, lease car is $120/Mo. & Condo (home owners) is about $400/yr., thats with a few tickets in the car as well but no accidents :crash

I have this syndrome thou that effects my right foot and right hand & temporarily obstructs my judgement from time to time :hammer:

07 R1 = $300 a year FULL COVERAGE!!!! :rock
Wow! I thought I had the best deal on here but I guess not. Mine is $390/year with FULL coverage, $250 deductible through State Farm. 26 years old. My house, '05 BMW Z4, and '05 BMW 525i are all on the same policy so I get a multi-car discount. I haven't made a claim for about 6 years, but I did get a speeding ticket about 2 years ago.

You'll likely see a decent rate reduction once you turn 25. I'm 26 and for both cars and the bike I pay roughly $138/month through State Farm...I have a homeowner's policy with them too, but the $138/month is just for both autos and the bike.

There are an absolute TON of variables in insurance rates. Local theft rate, traffic accidents (not yours, in the area), your own driving factors, personal factors (age, marital status) to compare rates with other people, especially in other areas.

All that being said, I pay 175 a month. That's on:

1993 Escort
2001 Cougar
2004 Explorer
1991 FZR 1000
2004 R1
2005 Vmax

Oh... and hospital coverage so I get the multiline discount as well as the multi vehicle discount.

But I'm a little older than you, and in NC vice CA.

Wow, a Ford Escort that's still running? I thought aliens came down and beamed all of those up.

I pay $1000 per year fully comp on R1 and 600F4i, disappearing deductilble and roadside coverage included. I pay $800 per year fully comp on Silverado and Grand Prix GTP, These are 2 separate policies and it doesn't seem too bad but I am going to see if State Farm can better that total this year.

No full coverage here. I pay $175.00 for liability. The best price for full coverage I was able to find was $1,800.00 a year. Thats being over 50, no points on my licence or accidents for the past 25 years.

Yeah, especially at your age. You gotta figure the truck is going to run you about 10 to 12 hundred a year, and the bike the remainder.

I pay $23/month for full coverage for the '05 R1 with State Farm. Thats with insuring 4 bikes, 1 car, and homeowners. When I opened the policy on my '05 R1 my agent asked if the bike was a 1000cc bike and I informed him that is was a 998cc bike. Those 2cc's were good for a $15/month discount. :thumbup
