Can manufactures really make bikes any more powerful then they are now and still sell them to the public? Maybe a better question is would the gov't allow it? We already have a restriction in place not allowing bikes to go over 200mph off the showroom floor. Will it really be worth while to by a sportbike 10 years down the road knowing they aren't really going to perform a lot better then today's bike? Technology has changed a lot in the past couple of years. The bikes we ride today have proven that. Are manufactures reaching a point where they won't be allowed to go any further? If you answer no, what can really be done? We know they will get lighter, that's a given. Do you think they would actually produce a bike to go 300mph off the showroom floor? Doubtful. IMO. What do you think?
