How the ..... oil filter and full akrapovic ?

Hi, is there any way of changing the oil filter WITHOUT taking the full Akrapovic completely off ? Radiator, header pipes ....

Was this a problem with the stock exhaust also ?

No,just with the prohibitively expensive racing Akrapovic :)

You can (maybe) just try un-hooking the can and the mid pipe (at the frame) and gently force the filter out.
Does the Graves system have this 'oil filter blocking' issue also?

That is one for the Graves owners :)
I'd be curious to know that also. Do all the aftermarket full exhaust systems block the oil filter.

Graves?
Micron?
Arata?
I simply pry out the header pipe the 1mm it needs for the filter to clear, I'm not going to pull the pipe everytime the oil needs to be changed, thats just crazy.
Almost, even my 99 with Yosh duplex needs to have the can unbolted and the mid pipe unbolted to pry the exhaust a bit;not very good for the headers gaskets though.
wtf? my 98 with full akra stays bolted up and i can get the genuine filter off. not much room but it does come off. after ive unscrewed it using a filter socket, i just push it to the side and it falls out.:yesnod
Hi, any other aftermarket systems than the Graves that doesn't prohibit the change of the oilfilter without removal ?

Don't know what the changes are between a 98 and 01 but I tried everything the POS needs about 4-5mm more to come out.

I am not going to bend the headers for fear of F-ing up the gaskets.

Anyone else know of a better option.

:(

This should be under the "How to" section with a title of "how to turn a 5 minute job into a 1 hour job" :crash

A list of all systems interferring with oil filter access, and those that don't would be informative.
Does the stock exhaust have to be removed for an oil filter change or is that only for aftermarket systems?
