Ok so I got this Franken tricycle, and it has the back half of a Yamaha bike(engine,transmission, tires,wheels) but not much of a frame so no vin number . I do have a couple codes on the engine and can’t cipher it out it has
4XV01

Pictures generally help... The 4XV01 leads me to believe it's a 1998/99 R1.
4XV for '98/99, 5JJ for '00/01, 5PW for '02/03...

When I had questions like this I used to lookup photos of suspected motorcycles engines and compare them. It would make sense to post a picture atleast for other people to recognize and tell you but where's the fun in that. I guess this is the way of the internet now, put in zero though or effort on your own part and ask everyone else to think for you.

hey at least "4XV" got a response.. i figured it was an model code

but yeah, gotta love the effort :no
