Buy my bike a truck. (In case I have to drive it somewhere, like Myrtle Beach.) . I'm watching this auction on Ebay right now. A Black 99' Z71 Chevy silverado Xtra cab. The bid's at 14.6k. Right now I have a Miata ( I take enough crap at work about it.) and an Xterra. But I don't want to have to get a trailer for the bike so I want to get a truck. I'll keep the Xterra and sell the Miata. So what do you think? Anyone have a Chevy Z71 and how is it putting the bike into a 4x4 short bed?

i loaded my 02 r1 into my dodge 98 ram quad cab with short box, might be possible too close the gate if you slid the rear wheel too one side or the other, i just left my gate down, with a good ramp, it was easy too load and unload even though this damn dodge sits so high

I have 2002 Chev 1/2 ton EXT cab short box . R1 fits , tailgate closes no trouble . Just get a wide ramp so Its easy to drive up steadying yourself with your feet .
