The only 91 octane fuel that is available here advertises that it has "friction busters" as additives. Is it Ok to use this fuel or should I go for the regular 87? I ask this cos I've read somewhere in this forum that "friction modifiers" in the engine oil is bad to use. Is fuel Ok?

Your '05 is not going to like 87 octane. I'd use the 91 as long as it is intended for motor vehicles.
87 is in my bike right now. Been in there for the last 30k miles. Only time it sees 93 is at the track.

Likes it just fine.

The friction modifiers you don't want are in the oil, which coat your clutch plates to keep the heat down. I don't see what friction modifiers are going to do in a gas. It goes in the cylinder and out the exhaust. :dunno
