I have an 02 R1 that is just for the track.
I ride an RSVR on the road.

I have just changed the brake pads to SBS Carbon Race.
I now get some juddering under heavy braking on the front.
I am not used to R1's or four cylinders for that matter and can't change things and go and test on the street.

I had a small off last September but the bike didn't judder with the stock pads in that I can remember. Big bang on the head too...

My question is , has anyone had this after fitting carbon pads or do I need to look deeper to see if the discs are warped or the forks are damaged ?

Put the stock pads back on and retest. Maybe the carbon being of a diff material grind differently and cause the judder, justa thought.

I will try that next time, I am back on in a couple of weeks.
Hope it is dry enough or there will be no heavy braking.
