Rode home my new red '04 from the shop last night and I must say, the red looks amazing this year! Nearly froze my *&^ off in the 0 degree weather but it was worth it.

I haven't ridden anything for about 2 years (GSX-R600 previously) and I must say this is a nice bike to be getting back into the sport with. After the first block it started comming back to me and the R1 feels easier to ride than some of the older "smaller" bikes I've ridden in the past. Can't wait until I finish breaking her in.

I look forward to joining the r1-forum community. To anyone who's still waiting for their bikes... :finger j/k. Look out for me whenever there's no snow comming down :riding

What store did you get it from?

I picked it up at McBride Cycle. I went in last Friday to order a blue one but they had a red sitting there all nice and pretty. Decided to grab that one instead so no wait time :sneaky

Glad I did. Love the red colour but I have to go out and buy all new matching gear now.
