Hi everyone,

Need your help.
I tried searching the forum, but came up empty.
I just bought the following LED Conversion for 09 R1:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/191536063772?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

By any chance, any have something similar on their bike?
Looking for some pics/videos on installation. It's easy to install... im more concerned with the way to hide the transformer and the heat sink which seems to be much larger in diameter than the headlight cover cap. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Albert

With the retrofit source XB led kit do you have to do any modification or can you fit all the led bulb and heat sink into the headlight housing.. This will be for a 2012 R1..

I have no idea and I never plan on running LEDs in any automobile I own.
Seems to me the led kit has same or more parts as a hid kit but gives less kelvins(light output). The cooling fan would be the worse part for me sticking out of the cap..

And more heat.

I refuse to use a bulb that reaquires it's own fan....:shake

The Morimoto LEDs actually put out the same Lumens as a 35watt HID kit.

Kelvin= Color temperature, 6000k being a slight tinge of blue which is usually the look most go for however 5000k will get you a slight bump in light output

Lumens= Visable light output as observed by humans. The XB kit has two 35watt Cree LED arrays. Those two chips combined produce 3000lumens which is the same as a 35 watt 6000k HID kit.
And more heat.

As I refuse to use a cheap china HID kit because theyre junk, just like the led posted with a fan. They went cheap on the heatsink and had to put a fan.

The Morimoto XB ones dont use a fan because they use a sufficient heatsink and good quality driver.
