Anyone know how I can post this guy, I need to know where he got his screen from.....

Or does anyone know how to attach an image on this page, I know it can be done.....I've seen it done....

if you are talking about the black windscreen of my 99 r1:
i don't know where that can be bought. I'm the 2nd owner so the previous owner must have bought it. That guy came from germany, i can ask his dealer perhaps he bought it there and i can ask my own dealer if you want...

ok asked my dealer, it can be purchased from mdi email them at

but i can't imagine no-one sells this screen in the uk (you are from the uk right?)

as for windprotection: that still sucks :lol remember, i never drove my r1 with the standard windscreen, but i think they're the same size.

Top man Zen, I am from the UK yeah !

The reason I was interested in that screen was because it is the same size but it has that little flick on the top that must deflect the wind slightly, I'm only 5'6 so I can pretty much hug the tank and get out of the wind but a little more room wouldn't go amiss....

no problem.
yeah i'm a little bigger, 6 feet? (stupid imperial system) and i don't like the wind protection but i like cornering more than straight line speed so it's ok.

beware you don't buy a screen that only fits the 98-99 models!

my screen came with a rubber (band?) on top, i lost that
which also helps wind deflection a bit...

I do like the twistys also but I'm a sucker for the 180mph rush, nothing like it on the planet, my girlfriend might have something to say about that but there you go, she's never been that fast !!!!!:lol :lol

They have e-mailed me back already and they seem to think that they still have it so this has been a successful post all round...:thumbup
