The left engine case/stator cover is not securely bolted on. This is due to the fact that two of the "holes" for the engine case bolts on the engine itself are broken. (i.e. no place for bolts to get tightened)

This is causing oil to leak.

Is there a way I can safely secure the cover to engine or will I have to get a new engine? If I need to make myself clearer please let me know. Thank you.

You can get some stuff to rebuild partial breaks in crankcases;its some kind of aluminium paste...you apply, shape, grind, drill, make new threads.

Its not the ultimate, but sure beats new cases!

You can also use some engine sealer (usually blue) or some marine silicone.(black, would be perfect).

If you go the paste way,use sealer anyways.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. I really do appreciate it. I think I will go the sealer route for now. Sealer by itself is sufficient right?

I just had one question. What are bosses?

Once again thank you.
