Hi Guys, i am a very short 5'4 inchs and needed to lower my 1999 R1 so I could touch the ground.
This done and pulled the front shock through the tipple clamp 10mm.
She rides well but problem is the rear subframe hits the tyre hugger when I carry a pillion.
I need som hep setting the rear shock to eliminate this problem.
Any assistance would be well received

Thanks G,

Changing the dogbone doesn't just affect ride height - it also changes the travel and spring rate.

How much have you lengthened it? Have you checked the sag?

It would help to increase preload when you're carrying a pillion, but it could still bottom out because the travel has changed.
