I never put a heat shield on after I did all my pipes and looks good to me like that, even with the tab attached. I was going to cut it off, but you would have the welds there and discoloration unless you grind them and take a brill-ow pad to it to try and blend the stainless.. If you give this a try take some pictures and post your progress :corn :thumbup
