Hey whats up people I finally got my mig thru eurobikes. It was easy to install prob took about 30 minutes...Did an oil change while i had the lower fairings off. I love the sound of my new exhaust...wow!!

The mid pipe looks way out of proportion. It is just too long! Also, the cannisters look too small in diameter and too long.

Not to mention that long mid pipes have a negative affect on power output.

I could understand getting the MIG if you had ground clearance issues but that is not a problem on these bikes.

Of course this is all from my perspective (except for the power issue), so whatever floats your boat!

I bought a mig high rise for my 02 R1 from euro bikes too, first week of march still havent gotten it yet every time I call they say 2 weeks, feel like I am in that movie the money pit. I hate riding my bike with that stock pipe, I cant wait to get mine. The pipe looks great and sound good too. any problems with it? I was thinking of getting a power commander 3 when I get the pipe. Any way looks great I like it.:thumbup

The MIG looks wierd on the 2002, i have it on my 2000 and looks much better.

I agree, that MIG looks too long and narrow BUT here's a picture of another MIG (sent to me by the dealer).

I agree with ANDRE. I have the MIG on my 2000. On the 2k2 it looks a little long. Not knocking your bike or anything Specialed03..Just wondering why it looks so different

That pic of the mig sex_c put up looks like a 2000 pipe photoshoped on a 2002, it looks too big

All I'm saying is that I received this pic from the dealer directly. Weather it was photoshoped or not, I doubt they would advertise something that is so different from the actual pipe. I think the problem is that the pipe in the top post is a regular ROUND pipe while the one I posted would be an OVAL pipe. I don't know but I would look into it before buying a MIG.

it looks like in the first post that the pipe is not on correctly, or made wrong to fit the bike. Look at the heel guard, it's not anywere close where it should be. Can you cut some length off the mid pipe to bring the can closer to the passenger peg like in the older R1 pic. Or remove the passenger peg and bring the pipe back. The can looks good it's just in the wrong place.

High mounts are uncomfortable

I have a mig on my 98 R1, it is the Carbon/Kevlar High mount, It is so uncomfortable because my heel is constantly hitting it and it gets in the way if you like to do stand up wheelies, as i do, i am going back to the good ol' D&D slip-on.

The skinny little canister and the mid-pipe is way too long. You may like the can overall, but I don't care for the overall look.

nice pipe rich. shouldn't he be wearing a helmet? anyway, can you post more pics of your bike. i agree that it looks different than on the previous r1's, but your pipe looks better than the carbon fiber pipe at the top of this thread. none-the-less, can you or anyone else with a mig on their '02 post some pics? thanks.
