Just a heads up for anyone looking for the ideal bikers smartphone...
Recently bought the Motorola Defy and it's the best bit of kit I've bought in a long while. The Defy is the first smartphone to pass the IP67 specification. Basically this means it's waterproof and can take a bit of abuse. (Check out UTube for underwater clips!) So far I've dropped it on the floor accidentally (but haven't gone to town testing...:hammer
Recently got a RAM mount and a "Telferizer" so I could mount it to the steering stem. Got hold of a free app called Locus which downloads maps to the SD card and...voila, free Sat Nav!!
Just thought I'd stick a post up for anyone who's been thinking of buying a smartphone but is wary of shelling out big $s on something that turns into a very expensive paperweight at the first hint of water. Cheers.
