Flushies
Fender Eliminator
Exhaust (whats best for power and heat distribution?)
Power Commander
ECU upgrade for the 07 only

Things I thought about

For best results you'll need a custom map done if you decide to put on a full exhaust. You'll probably want to put on a aftermarket windscreen too.

I wouldn't exactly consider the ECU swap for the 07 and a 'mod'.. It's done on warranty free of charge.

Personally I'd get flush mounts, a puig double bubble windscreen, and an integrated tail and be done with it. Spend the rest of your money on leathers and track days. The bike stops, starts and turns pretty damn well right off the showroom floor. Plus you'll be kicking yourself if you go down and damage mods you just spent $$ on.

I'm curious why you've got 16 posts here and dumping a bunch of money into "must have mods"? What are you using your bike for? Is it a commuter, track day bike, race bike, just for cruising around town or ?? That bike really "must have" very little. You seem to be interested in a variety of parts - and I totally agree with jdk - put a bunch of money in asthetic mods, then dump it at the track and you'll be singing the blues (just like the rest of us at one point or another).

Think about what these guys are saying, what kind of bike do YOU want? What are you gonna use it for, track bike, daily riding, bad ass show bike, etc. Once you detemine what your building then look at the magazines and get ideas as well as here. If you give this site some specifics it'll give you specific ideas back. Great choice to start with, with the R1! Good luck!
