A friend of mine has a '01 Yamaha YZ426F and he wants to convert it to a motard for the street. Is there a kit he can buy? If not, what would he have to buy to covert it? He doesn't want to spend too much money. So we need help!! Any and all info would be helpful. :fact

I'm not sure about the YZ motard conversion, but I did find out that the cost to convert my DRZ400SE to a motard is about the same price it would cost to outright buy a new one. Try going to Thumpertalk.com to find out if there is a kit available for that bike.

just the wheels will set him back at least a grand. Then the brakes, that will be some additional expense of 700-800 bucks. If I were him, I would sell the bike and pick up a used or new bike. (preferably orange :boobies:epimp
