the r1 is my best liked bike but i can not get one , but my uncle is gettting the 02 one. and the only bikes that i have a choice to get is a kawasaki 600r or a suzki gsx r600, both 02 brand new, but my question is which is faster, and will be able to keep up with my uncle r1? thank you

I think both bikes ( Kawasaki 600r and suzuki gsx600r ) on the same value, but the R1 will smoke both of them!(But it depends on it who's driving the R1!!!)

You´ll have to be able to balance the power of the R1 to be fast. That is much easier on a "smaller" bike.
And on a very slow and twisty track there are advantages having a lighter bike!

Power is far from everything!!

I would go w/ the Gixxer between the 2 .. take the 600 sticker off and newbies will think you have a Gixxer1000 when you pass them ... the thing is ride within your limit and faster doesn't neccessary mean better :crash

I'd get the gixxer as well....I think you'd like the performance out of the 02 Gixxer a lot better than the Kawi!!!
