[R1 Rider190]

I bought a 2000 yzf 600r. The guy I bought it from had recently had the chain snap on him. He fixed that, and i put a new battery in it because the battery was dead. I have had it for 2 days and now when i start it up, and put it in gear it shuts off. I know the clutch has to be adjusted, but wtf? What is wrong with this thing?

you are raising the kickstand before you put it in gear right?

it could still be a faulty kickstand switch. you might want to try jumpering the kickstand wires together just to check. or take it to the stealer and let them play with it.
