Do you think that because someone has black friends that they can't be racist towards black people? Or that because someone isn't prejudiced towards one race/ethnicity, they can't hold prejudice against another?

Well, part of my questioning kind of leads to what I think is the obvious question - how do you prove that someone is racist? And how is any action/speech determined to be racist?
I think it's racist to tell minority Americans (born here or naturalized) to go back to their original countries. Never mind the "original" country of one was the "country" of Puerto Rico (ha ha).
And yet, plenty of people now say it's not racist to say that to someone. What can I actually explain to "prove" to someone that those words are hurtful, have a painful tradition in this country (and plenty others)? Probably not a whole lot, even though it's happened for generations here, including to white minorities.

Is it racist to tell illegal immigrants to either go home or stay in their own country? I really don't care if they're from across the northern or southern border, immigrate according to our laws or stay out. In turn about, if an American were to illegally cross any border, I highly doubt they would get the benefits illegal citizens here do.

Holy shit. I just realized this is not the MAGA thread. Maybe this is the MEGA (Make England Great Again) thread?

Well, the people in question are all U.S. citizens, with only one of them being an immigrant (Somali refugee). Illegal immigration should bother everyone. It's amazing to me that we haven't dedicated more resources to vetting Central American refugees. Funny enough a lot of them end up working in Mexico. Last decade, there were bipartisan attempts to ramp up border security and to offer a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants already here. Making them legal and requiring responsibility for all forms of taxation is almost certainly a more prosperous (and cheaper) way forward. In turn it would discourage businesses from hiring illegal immigrants. It sounds great to me, but there are definitely some constituents/lobbies that have sway.

And yeah...Johnson is the PM of the UK now. Doubt he can make England great :lol, but we'll see.

Or making them all legal and they immediately qualify for federal aid. If you think they’ll all immediately go to work and become tax paying citizens you’re much more naive then I thought

They're not already working? Illegal immigrants working and getting paid under the table isn't exactly an ideal solution. The "path to citizenship" approach isn't some overnight magic wand waving procedure that turns millions of illegals into citizens. There would still be deportation involved. And the path to citizenship could require someone to have worked/lived here for X amount of time (similar to a number of bills that were voted on).
