I posted by bike for sale at: http://www.bikez.biz/ads/showad.php?ad=2947

The guy asked me tons of questions, tried to lowball me, and
gave in, I did some shipping quotes from Miami, FL to NY to freight
it over the Great Britain, and it was pricey, it was $7,850 pricey.

Arranged @ $25k, I asked for the quickest payment was wire
transfer, once I get it, I'll have it arranged to freight forwarding
company and he''ll get everything, insisted on Cashiers Check,
Money order or Personal check, I go fine, I'll have it to hold it 2-3
weeks before I ship the bike, he says no problem.

I get a Fed Ex Tracking #, coming from Great Britain (holy shit)
thinking the deal is gonna come through, and he happens to ship
the payment in the week of my vacation/bday (last week) and I
got it on Saturday, went to a local Fed Ex hull.

I saw the pacakge, from Nigeria? WTF? I had a print out of the
tracking # and he appaerantly fooled me because it has records
from Great Britain, whatever, i opened the letter and I SAW a
Washington Mutual Cashiers Check.

Last I checked, there is NO WaMu either in Great Britain or Nigeria
so which led to me a fake check. I clearly looked at the check for
20 mins and I saw so many flaws. Just for the kick of it I passed
by WaMu on Saturday because they are open adn I know that
branch personally. They scanned the check, fake, account # good,
but insuficient funds.

On Saturday afternoon I took a break from work and fired up my
laptop and sent him a nice email. Now he's sending me letters of
attorney sayign if I don't send the bike they are coming after me,
blah blah blah, I was just reading and jawning away. I replied a
nice Western email that the FBI has your GB and Nigeria address,
Washington Mutual Fraud Department is looking you up and Fed
Ex Interests Program is tracking you down, I hope you can hide
because you don't have one, not two, but THREE agencies hunting
you down.

1) Top Left corner, Washingtong Mutual mark, it wasn't computer
printed, it was hand stamped (too much ink)

2) Middle Top, Official Check letters are suppose to be Holographic

3) Check Routing # are too long by 5 numpers, I personally have
a account with Wamu and I know my Routing #'s too long.

4) The Account # under Remitter (doesn't tie out to the Routing #)

I hope they got burned. @ lunch today I was at Wamu w/the
branch manager, wamu's south fl security advisor (rent a cop),
and I met with a US Secret Service, I presneted them my case,
the acutal return address, a address in Great Britain, the threat
letters, and all evidence I got on them.

A similiar thing happened to me when I was trying to get rid of my 02, before it was stolen.

A guy from Africa ( I forget exactly where) wanted to buy my bike. Ok, and he would arrange and pay for shipping. He even high balled me, and offered more for my bike. Weird.

He said he would pay me through a friend he had in the states. He said the guy owed him 25,000, and would write the check to me, and he would trust me to send him the balance. I stopped corresponding with this guy, knowing it was a scam.

He actually said he knew he could trust me, and he only knew me thru two or three emails. People are just ridiculous, and take advantage anywhere they can.

Scary isn't it? Fraud and scam at its highest toll...

In this case they pretty much made Fed Ex look like a jackass,
because the pick up driver should read the return address..

Or they TOTALLY fooled Fed Ex... any Fed Ex emplyees up in here?
