R1 OIL LEVEL?

I was wondering when your bike is upright where the oil level is suppose to be in the resevior glass window?

My oil light pops on and off and the bike just had an oil change from the dealer. My level is just below the glass window.

Are these bike known for using oil?

When you fill the oil put 2-3 extra ounces in. Your light problem is common to R1s. There is a couple threads about the same exact problem.

Mine is a Euro spec bike and on the side of the glass(on the bike case) at the top and bottom there is a dot. Obviously they represent full and low. I keep my oil right in the middle of the glass. I would say that if your oil level is below the glass when full upright then your oil is a bit low. Add enough to get it to the middle of the sight glass
