I just spooned a set of Pirelli Diablo tires on my '02 R1. I took it easy for about 100 miles. These tires are an amazing improvement over the original equipment 208's. The 208's were not confidence inspiring through corners. They felt nervous and traction limited. The Diablos are wonderful through the curves, very confidence inspiring. I now have 120 miles on the Diablos and have already been able to comfortably lean the bike far more than was previously possible. I always had 3/4 inch chicken strips on my 208's (3200 miles). After the first ride on the new Diablos an inspection revealed that I had less than 1/4 inch stips on each side. I am very impressed with the stability my bike now has. It rides like a totally different machine. I highly reccomend the Pirelli Diablo. If the standard Diablo makes this much difference, then the Corsas or Super Corsas must be astounding. May have to try the Corsas next time.:thumbup

Im running the diablos also. I recently switched from the M1 Sportecs. I cant say the Diablo's are better but definitely feel just as good.

I am a big fan of the diablo's as well. Someone recomended to me I try the Metzler M-1's. I love these Tires !! I ride in So Florida ( gets hot quick ) I ride with a heavy wrist and I have tons of confidence with them. Also I can lean totally over ( like the diablos ) but the big difference is the mileage. ( I have 4100 on the M-1's and probably should change soon, but they are not close to wearing through yet. My new favorite tire....
