Powdercoat levers

I like the feel of the stock levers on my 01, but I would like to have them black to match a few other goodies. Is it possible to powdercoat them and have the coating hold up for a while? I only ride with gloves on, so I figured that maybe it would last, but I've been wrong before. Someone with any experience with this???

Thanks:fork

All you gotta do is look at the parts while still on the bike and you will be able to tell what needs masked off. Anything that will rub up against other metal parts will need protected from coating. I'm just worried about the coating wearing off and looking like crap after a couple of years.

Since you have a bit of experience with powdercoating........ how long do you think it will hold up on the brake and clutch levers under normal use???
