Hola!

Out of curiousity, how well would a power commander work at 5200' + with an Akro can. Would the mapping for this setup cause the bike to run too rich? I would like to get a PC3, but want to know how it will work with my current bike config.

Liek anything else,if you adjust it for that elevation,it will work,but wont at sea level...well,not as well.

You are a serious candidate for the Yosh EMS kit with the option of maps selection my friend.

Ya, I believe the Yosh allows you to save and use up to 3 different maps.

Holy smokes, $450+!!!! The Power Commanders are less then $300, why is this one so much more expensive?

How difficult is it to set the EMS system up for my bike config? My current R1 is the first FI bike I have owned.

Its expensive because :

1-its from Yosh
2-its a module on which you can connect several other goodies like power shifter,the 3 map selector and what else...
3-its from Yosh
4-its from Yosh.

Its the same as a PC3 (but with less database support)..got to be tuned on a dyno,so get rady for another couple of hundred $$ more.

I would just get a PC3, download a map and ride it around. Then just tune it a bit on a laptop everytime you ride. Just don't make to many drastic changes like leaning it out to much. Bad stuff can happen pretty quick. Although I'm not sure if a PC3 allows you to adjust it THAT lean.
