Ok I have a bit of a problem. I had bid on an undertail several months back. Got it for like 110 on ebay. It was shipped to me and looked in perfect condition. All hardware included....so I thought. Today I set about trying to install it. Seemed pretty straight forward...till I tried to hook up my STOCK tail lights. Keep in mind this LOOKS like the Eurobikes undertail with the frenched tail lights. Anyway they don't hook up. Further investigation seems to reveal that i need a special style of tail light similar to the diamond lights. HELP!!! I can't find anyplace other then Libertek (Diamond Lights) that has the style of lights I need. Although I DO plan to eventually get the Libertek light...right now they are out of my reach price wise. I want my undertail....what can I do??? Good thing out of all this is I got my tail light integrater to work. That was simple.

Hey ace...
I don't know if I can help you but my with my dusault tail I had to break off one of the pins on the stock taillight assembly plug. What brand is the tail or can you tell? If you know this you may be able to get some tech info from the manufacturer. Btw, where in Japan are you, and are you military? I was just over there and had a blast during riding season. I still got some friends overthere. Maybe if you need someone to ride with I could hook you up. Anyway, goodluck with your tail.

Well I think the tail is from Eurobikes...it looks exactly the same. But from I can see in there pics it does not look like they use the stock tail light assembly. And non of the other brands of tails I have seen use the stock tail lights either. I have found a couple places that show how to install the tails but once it's in the bike they just say now install the light and electronics and then thats the end. I can NEVER see what type of tail light they use. I am military stationed in Misawa Japan. Way up NE. Riding season just started for us late March. We get alot of snow and cold weather here. As for people to ride with...there are ALOT here already. I was super suprised at how many bikers there re. I just got the bike in Demeber and so never really noticed how many people ride bikes around here.

Hey did you ever get that thing installed?

I just ordered mine undertail from eurobikes today. I asked them if it comes with the lights and they said no. They said that I use my stock lights..

Ya...I emailed a guy that was selling one on ebay...he sent me the directions...there are 2 small L brackets that will be used for the tail lights...but if you use the stock seat you will have to trim the underside of the seat or it will push the stock lights down and force the tail to hang lower then the upper body...making a gap...you'll see once ya get it. And I am sure since you bought your from Eurobikes that it will come with good instructions

Yamaguy, LOL...you came at a bad time! Yes it gets cold in the fall and winter. Not to mention we have long winters. The Eclub is....well not what it used to be when I got here in 98. Now the Officer club has been built right next door to the E club:( The off base clubs have been kickin since it's been getting warmer out. Please...if you do make it up here again let me know!!
