Is there actually a difference in the actual cannister of an after-market pipe from one year to the next?

I know the s-pipe is often different, but is the actual CAN different???

Heck, is it ALWAYS different from one bike to the next? (929, 954, R1, zx9r, jizzer1000)

It just seems to me that it'd be hard for companies to make a different can for every bike for every update to that bike.

Slip-on's

The 98-01 R1 slip-on's will all be the same. However another model bike will most likely be different, like a zx9r to an r1...etc

98 to 01 Akra slip-on cannister has 50mm outlet port compared to 55mm on 02 model. That is the only difference for this model.
