Does anyone know if the black mids on a silver 02 or 03 are different? Is 02 or 03 darker black?

I have 1 dealer telling me the 03 mids are a little darker but will not fit an 02.....this is :bs right? Wonder why he is not wanting to sell me 03 mids for a 02???:boom
