:p
Hey guys.

Even tought my Red R1 is still at the dealer because of the snow we have here.

Whats the proper way to break it in?
Like people say not over 7000rpm which I find is stupid.

Some say ride it like you stole it, then some follow the book.

Book says not to get it in high revs.

Ok guys help me a little!

Thanks

Heat cycles are primordial;

Let the bike reach operating temp,then let it cool down 4-6 times the first time out...do not keep the revs at the same rpm for PRONLONGED time (hard to do,hell,almost impossible but hey)...try the power,dont be afraid,but if you want to explore the upper reach of the powerband,dont select 6th gear,bring it near redline then select the next gear to let the engine compress easily...use the brakes to pamper the revs down quickly.

Dont forget to break-in the brake system first!
That would be a 50 miles procedure which is lightly apply the brakes at first (not for prolonged time again) so they wont get too hot and glaze.
