:hellobye Firstly,I hope the guys at Yamaha are aware of this forum which in any case if they're not..they've just lost a major part of their R&D dept.Well assuming they are,I'm calling out to all 2002 R1 owners or would be owners to support my request to Yamaha to give two things...1) The R1 stickers at the tail end,why is it that only the blue one has it and not the red or the all popular silver?sure,we could probably have one made but nothing is like the original and besides,how much more would it costs Yamaha? and
2) This may costs Yamaha a bit but we sure could do with a factory fitted steering damper,don't you think so guys?even if Yamaha decides to charge a bit more on the price of the bike,I'm pretty sure most of us a prepared to pay for it.
There you go guys...thats not much to ask for is it?so, come on all you R1 owners...voice in your support and lets see if the folks at Yamaha are actually listening

sorry too start somethin here, but if my 02 silver had those cheap lookin stickers on the tail they would be the first thing too come off, i mean cmon, couldnt a company as good as yamaha come up with a better r1 script for the tail than that? it looks like a couple stickers from the local hardware store.

Think about it, if they stick a steering damper on the bikes it's certianly not going to be a good one, look at all the suzukis with their crap dampers, i'd probably replace the one they stuck on the biek with a better model.

Unelss they stuck an ohlins or scotts on it, then i'd be happy!

I think the plain tail looks the best, the sticker is cheap and ugly looking for the steering damper, I'll get my own. I know Gixxer owners who have purchased aftermarket steering dampers so now they have two.

I had some custom stickers made for only $10.80. They look great too.

Although we may not get the R1 stickers on the back, the blue ones don't get em on the side fairings...
