both my old R6 and 2k2 R1 had that same thing, its just the Yamaha trannys d00d, don't worry bout it
I didn't even attempt 2 go into 2nd gear. I was just practicing take-offs and trying 2 hold in up in first gear. I never used the clutch. I was just using the rear brake 2 slow it down and then I would gun it between 4-5K rpm 2 bring it up again. I took it around the block last night and it still does it. While stopped in neutral, I put it in 2nd and I get the jolt we normally experience when puttin it in 1st gear. My tranny shifts fine, no probs there, just getting into neutral is trickier and the jolt is harder now when I put it in 1st or 2nd........I just want it 2 run like butter(b4 thursday it was fine), but maybe it wasn't meant 2 B this way?:cryinMaverickcole said:Were you clutching your wheelies?
I guess I thought the prob was gone cuz I only rode it around the block, but 2day I took it 4 a spin and it got even worse. I checked my chain and it has over 1.5 inches of slack. I also read in a past post that this may be the culprit and i'm hoping it is. I think this may be the problem since I was lifting the front wheel numerous times in 1st gear only and this stretched my chain out. Last time I checked it had about 1/4 inch of play. Please god, if ur up there, let it be my chain. I do not have $ 2 fix tranny or clutch right now...[email protected]@alltimes said:Well, I think it's back 2 normal now.
