J means it was made in Japan
Y means manufacturer is Yamaha
really what do u need?? 10th digit gives you year model. last 6 are manufacturing numbers. there is nothing that says hey this one was blue one.... unless your yamaha. i can send number into YDS(yamaha dealer system )and pull up some info on it. like warranty work done and such. but what are u trying to find out

I took the frame to a local dealer in Utah and they said that cub is not a USA model possible Canadian or European and I need to pay import fees or something I just want to find a title get a title but nobody ive talked to knows what that vin is?
