Looking great so far!
I totally rebuilt a hammered 2001 to be my track bike, so I've learned a couple of things along the way. While you're digging around in your bike, I highly recommend rebuilding the forks and shock and throwing a set of late model 04 wheels and brakes on it.....they probably are in desperate need of a rebuild anyway, and it totally updates the handling and braking of what's already a monster motor.
I'm sure you already know, but the R1-forum classifieds were a HUGE resource for me both when I rebuilt the bike for the first time (from trashed streeter to fast tracker) and then when I rebuilt it again last year (after a near 100mph higside!).
