if he's on a monster 600, he sounds like a newbie to me, not a squid. if he was a squid he would have been on a liter bike.

If you ride with squids,you're gonna smell like fish!!! I learned this the hard way last night,My friend and I were out cruzin and we went to go pick up another buddy of ours who just started riding a week ago.Just as we are about to get onto Addison 2 blocks from his house he rear ends me.He's on a Ducati monster 600,not a scratch on his but his handlebar hit the rear bustin up the back plastic and his front tire hit AND bent my rearset,so I couldnt shift from 1st.He apologized and is gonna pay,but I took it to Champion and what I thought was gonna be a rearset replacement and the back plastic the guy told me the subframe might be bent,if so,how much is that????God,I just don't trust those guys!!!

I found out after the fact that he had been drinkin before he left work,THAT makes him a SQUID!!!!!

That sucks. Get everything fixed but the sub frame, ride it around then decide if it needs fixin.

That's unfortunate, but accidents happen. As long as he pays up I wouldn't sweat it. I would buy the parts online and fix it myself. Be grateful your 02 comes with a removable subframe. Previous R1 subframes were welded to the frame.
