I live in the area...cops are annoying in Shenandoah national park...and if you get a ticket there it is federal...
One road very close to Lorton is Henderson, and all the roads around it....to much traffic on a Saturday afternoon. You can get clean roads early in the am usually on the weekend, but weekdays people use it to commute and it gets backed up...
I typically stick to track days...lots of great tracks close by:fact
